Plex Home Theatre on the HD Station doesn't work, but is there a Plex Media Player app that works on HD Station ? Can I download a *.QPKG install package to test this, or can i only get one if I have PlexPass ? Thanks for everyone's help. Can anyone confirm this? I would pay the subscription fees if I can have my DTS and AC3 files play. I am not sure, but think that maybe a PlexPass Subscription might work. The videos work when I use the KODI for HD Station App, they work on the Plex for Kodi add-on on my android box. I can't play filed encoded with either DTS or AC3 Audio, through the HDMI Output and HD Station running the Plex Home Theatre, which eliminates most of my video files. Everything seems to be working, except one item, which kind of ruins the whole set-up. I do plan on changing out the TVs to Smart TVs, but for now, they are the SAMSUNG non-Smart TVs. I plan on installing the server in my RV, so that I can access my video and music files through the HDMI Switch which sends the signal to most of the TVs in the RV. I have Plex Home Theatre running on my Hybrid Desk Station, connected to my TV via HDMI. I have a QNAP 253A, with Plex Media Server set-up and installed. I have looked, and can't find a definite answer. You can try it out for free.Sorry if this has been asked and answered previously. PLEX MKV FILES MP4
Please note that this output profile (which includes the MP4 format and H264 video codec) is already optimized to be streamed by Plex Media Server.
PLEX MKV FILES MOVIE
But you don’t really have to know the details, we got a step-by-step instructions for you to follow to fix your video / movie file and stream it with Plex directly to your TV:

Plex can handle almost any video/audio format you throw at it. You just configure Plex to look into a directory and it will list every video in that directory (with cover art, descriptions and ratings for commercial releases). In this case, we recommend to go with MP4 as the video format and H.264 as the video codec. Plex is easier, since it can likely be installed on your ReadyNAS. If you have a video file that can’t be streamed by Plex Media Server, all you need to do is to make sure it’s encoded with the a supported video format and video codec.
PLEX MKV FILES HOW TO
How to play an MKV / MP4 file on Plex Media Player? Your video file was probably encoded with a different video codec than the ones listed in the supported list. So why can’t you play an MP4 or an MKV movie if the documentation says it’s supported? Well, in most cases, the video codec is the fault.
